Greene County High School will be represented at the large group All-State Speech Festival by a radio broadcasting group calling itself 97.7 KOOB. Arthur Bardole, Kassie Lamoureux, Ashlee Harmeyer and Justice Phillips comprise the group.
Other groups that qualified for the state contest last Saturday were a one-act play, group improvisation, choral reading and readers theater. The one-act play and group improv earned Division 1 ratings but were not nominated for the All-State Festival. The choral reading and readers theater received Division II ratings. Kelley Gray is the speech coach at Greene County.
A musical theater group from Paton-Churdan qualified for the state contest and earned a Division II rating at the state contest.
The large group All-State Festival will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Iowa State Center in Ames.
